V Wrestling (Mt. Paran):

With a score of 66-6, the Marietta V Wrestling team wins their match against the Mt. Paran Eagles. These Devils constantly improve, and it’s clear the new year hasn’t changed anything about their determination. Elijah Metellus made the first pin of the night, followed by Russell Bey and Alex Glymph. Skill was shown by all of the boys who got the chance to wrestle that night, especially by the seniors. The senior wrestlers got special recognition tonight since this is their last year wrestling for MHS. All of them shared truly inspiring advice and memories, and we all wish them the best at whatever they choose to pursue in life. No matter where they are in their high school career, these boys have the drive to continue pushing to victory.

JV and V Wrestling (Sandy Creek):

With a score of 71-12, the Marietta Wrestling team won their second game of the night against the Sandy Creek Cougars. Together, with the team cheering each other on, many boys pinned their opponent. Ian Burns, Makai Clinton, Triston Smith, Esdras Nava, Darius Jules, Elijah Metellus, Russell Bay, and Alex Glymph all pinned their opponents to the mat, paving the way to success. The team constantly cheered out and supported anyone currently on the mat, giving motivation and advice to them. This worked wonders and showed the support and sportsmanship the team constantly offers to each other. Support is a strong foundation for a team, and the Devils certainly don’t lack that.
